I designed a new knit stitch! I was inspired by the St.George’s rally in London yesterday. It was very joyous and patriotic! The English speaking countries are the best. They are definetly our cultural cousins. V is for Victory!!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇸

Multiples of 7 plus 2 edge stitches to sew up seams.

Yarn used: Aran weight Cotton yarn (Hardware String)

Needles: US#8 (5 mm) Needles and US#13 (5mm) Needles

Instructions starting on Wrong Side Row using 5 mm needles.

Row 1-3: Knit

Row 4: (RS) K1, *K3, YO, SSK, K2* K1

Row 5: Purl

Row 6: K1, *K1, K2tog, YO, K1, YO, SSK, K1* K1

Row 7: Purl

Row 8: K1, *K2tog, YO, K3, YO, SSK* K1

End pattern on Row 11. If you want to add a rib to the end or start with, add an extra stitch or decrease one stitch into the 3rd stitch of the 1st row of a 1×1 Rib using US #7 (4.5 mm) Needles

This would be great as an alternative stitch for the Hardware String Top.
